Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I go here a couple times a week for lunch and they never disappoint. their food is not greasy as other Chinese restaurants and the price for the amount of food you get here is pretty generous. The order service is really fast and the food is ready a lot quicker than most places.

I used to order from here a lot but I think they must of changed owner and cook. Wasn't as good as I remembered . The prices went up. They use to make the best hot sour soup but it changed.

This is decent Chinese delivery. We've ordered several times and it's good. Just good. It's definitely nothing to write home about. The best part is that you can do all of your ordering online. That's super easy and convenient, especially when you're worried about pronouncing something wrong! But- warning- their website is set for payment and will take your AMEX number. Too bad the restaurant doesn't actually take AMEX!! Three times in the past year, I've forgotten this, and paid online and three times I've gotten calls to either change the credit card or pay in cash. It's super frustrating! Their house fried rice is good and doesn't skimp on shrimp. My husband enjoys their general Tso chicken, as well as their hot and sour soup. We've had their orange beef, which is better than most as well as sesame beef and sesame chicken. We've never had a meal that we absolutely did not like. It's really all been good. Like I said... Just good. But, good is much better than bad! Oh, and their combination platters have a very decent amount of food!

This is a very good Chinese delivery restaurant. We have tried both China House and Imperial House. While we really like the free 2L soda that comes with China House but we like the food from Imperial House better, and have been ordering delivery from there ever since trying it. (They give a can of soda or eggroll at $15 and 2L at 25$) Their orange chicken is delicious -- fresh and great orange flavor with peels in the sauce. They also include some broccoli and carrot in it too. Their kung pao chicken is very good too. They have a cheap small mixed vegetable which has always been fresh and tasty. Good portions too -- we always get at least two meals each from 1 entree, dinner and lunch the next day. Their delivery speed is really good -- not to fast or slow, just right, about 20-30 mins or so. We've ordered in the snow and ice, the delivery people are always friendly and come to the door (we've had delivery before that will honk and you have to go to their car to get it). They have online ordering and remember your last orders. When I've needed to call if we aren't home or on cell network, they ask if we want the same thing as last time -- its nice that they have a record of it and can make offline ordering easier for us! This is our go-to Chinese delivery place for about 1 year now and doesn't disappoint!!

Great for cheap chinese food. When we lived in Havertown, we regularly would order from here because this was the only place we knew of that delivered to us. The food isn't the best i've ever had, but it's good enough and the price is right. My boyfriend and I recently got take out from here. We were able to order online which is a nice feature. I got the kung pao chicken and that was good, the portions are huge. We also got some egg rolls and wanton soup, which were great. The young girl that is usually working at the counter(I assume owner's daughter) is super nice and helpful.

***BEWARE, DANGER, CAUTION*** I have been order food from Imperial house for many years and never had a problem. Last night my little sister ordered chicken and broccoli and asked if I wanted some. Of course I do! Little did I know I was going to have a NIGHTMARE. The chicken was UNCOOKED!!!! ***BEWARE, DANGER, CAUTION*** I hate the chicken at around 4PM, and 10-15 minutes later my stomach began hurting.. a little. Then as time passed the pain started to intensify by around. My pain level was 8/10 on a pain scale from 6-3AM!! I began vomiting at 9PM. I vomited all night long, and was in excruciating pain. I'm almost sure I caught Salmonella. I'm sitting here the next morning, thanking god I'm okay. The fact that I missed the deadline to apply for health insurance and I'm only 25, I decided to wait instead of going straight to the EMERGENCY ROOM. If I did go to the emergency room, lucky for them I didn't, because I would have sued the crap out of them for all the pain and suffering this unsanitary filthy disgusting Chinese restaurant put me through. I know people make mistakes, and probably do this intentionally. But, if I was a 80 year old man eating this with a weak immune system, I may have DIED! You should be on point ALL the time. Never will I order from here again. Nor do I advise anybody reading this post, if they don't want to "RISK" getting sick. ***BEWARE, DANGER, CAUTION*** P.S. I'd like to also mention when I was sick, my mother called to let them know. And how rude of them to just hang up! Not once, but 4 times after calling! This lets you know what kind of people they are. They are definitely off the hook this time. I'm sure this will happen again and they'll get what they deserve.

The owners must be reading these reviews, and taking notes. One reviewer discussed undercooked chicken. Mine was way overcooked. Before I go into detail here is some basic info about this place. Imperial House is basically your typical urban(ish) take-out joint. No tables, simply take out. Cheap, ugly signage, and spartan, dated decor. The menu is basic chinese take out. Prices are inexpensive. Going back to the chicken again, mine was undercooked. I ordered Sesame Chicken. The chicken was bland and very dry. How long did they cook it? Was it sitting around for a while? Who knows. The sauce didn't even taste like standard Sesame Chicken sauce. It was more like a bar-b-que sauce that was lightly brushed on. The food was cooked in typical amount of time. They do take credit cards, but if you charge less than $10, they have a sign that states they charge you an extra dollar. Not good business and a violation of their TOS with the credit card companies. It was edible enough to finish the meal. I will never order from here again. There is also metered street parking in front.

Good portions, fresh food, freshly cooked. You can get the usual dishes, the usual way (e.g. pork fried rice, chicken lo mein) but also others that are particularly nicely lightly prepared (e.g. Singapore noodles, Ma Po tofu, hot and sour soup, etc.) Also, efficient and friendly people. We've been regulars for many years -- we go past several other places just to go pick up food from Imperial House!

For chinese take out this place is great. The food is ready fast have had good service picking up and using delivery. Egg Rolls aren't the best but I dont even usually eat General Tso chicken, and find myself craving it from time to time now cause it is great here. It is not mushy like some places it is crispy and full of flavor. If your in the mood for some chinese take out this is your spot.

Not impressed On a search for the best Lemon Chicken - this is DEFINITELY .......NOT.....IT! Ordered take-out. It took a LONG time to get done - they said it "takes a while".....that's clearly because their deep fryer temp is too low. The chicken was mush - the coating was mush....even before the lemon sauce was put on it. (only a couple of minutes from home - it was still hot.) Speaking of lemon sauce - more like lemon-flavored water - didn't even stand up to the plain white rice - couldn't tell it was even on the chicken. Asked for a quart (large size) of wonton soup - got a small size. Another couple ordered after me - theirs was put into the deep fryer before mine (because "yours takes longer"). Hmmmmmm...... On another note - ladies room was out of order - but no sign on the door to tell you that - so small you have to almost back into the room in order to get past the door. I did end up with an extra egg roll in my bag - was it an accident or an apology? Didn't eat anything else because the chicken was so heavy - the rest will have to wait until much later. So.....the search continues.
